Green School 2015-2016

We had our first Green Flag meeting today in the library. A big welcome to all our  new boys and girls (and parents and teachers!!) on the committee this year. New children were chosen from Junior Infants to 6th Class to be on the Green Flag Committee.

The whole school community worked very hard for the last 2 years to get our fifth Green Flag for Biodiversity. We had great fun learning all about Biodiversity!

This year we will be looking at our next Green topic "Global Citizenship" . This is a 2 year programme and we will be posting updates on our Green Blog regularly!

Remember to keep recycling at home and at school!

Our Biodiversity Padlet

The children in Room 13 used the online software - Padlet, to make their own Biodiversity "wall". They listed lots of different things they have learned about Biodiversity this year.

Squillions of spiders!!!

Patrick from Senior Infants sent in this fabulous photo of loads of spiderlings. I wonder how many are in this nest?

What a photo! Well done Patrick!
